How do I change my nameservers ? |
Your domain will have been registered by a domain registrar. You'll need to ask them how to change the nameservers for your domain. Many registrars have "control panel" configuration of the domain, which will probably allow you to make nameserver changes yourself. If your domain is registered with Z-Host, you can change your nameservers on the domain registration details page. |

How can I change file permissions ("chmod") my files? |
Some FTP clients have ",chmod", features, which you can use - check the documentation for your FTP client. Alternatively, you can use the cPanel file manager to change file permissions: - Login to cPanel and click on the ",File Manager", icon.
- Click on the folder icons to navigate to the correct folder, then click on the name of the file that you want to change the permissions of.
- Click ",Change Permissions", and set the permissions. For cgi-bin scripts you should have 755 permission (all 3 boxes on the ",Read", and ",Execute", rows checked and only the first box on the ",Write", row checked).
- Click ",Change", to save the permissions.

What is the system path to my cgi-bin or public_html directory ? |

/usr/sbin/sendmail |
When I try to view my cgi-bin scripts in a web browser I get the message ",Internal error 500",. What does this mean ? |
It normally means that the permissions are not set correctly on your files. To run a cgi-bin file, the ",Execute", permission must be set, and the file must not be writable by all. Also the directory containing the cgi-bin script must not be writable by all. See the next question for details of how to do this. |
